Happy (belated) birthday to me! Well, not really. It’s actually Hodgepodge Homesteading’s first birthday!
Or at least it was in January, when I started writing this post. You have probably noticed the rather dramatic facelift I have given the website over the last few weeks. This goes hand in hand with the delay in being able to write this post, so read on to see what all of the fuss was about!
I am so incredibly proud of what I have managed to do this year and I really want you to celebrate with me. If it wasn’t for you (Yes, you. The one reading this right now. Thank you so much you lovely human), I would just be over here talking to myself in my weird little corner of the internet. I am so incredibly grateful to you that if you keep reading, you will find a present I made just for you.
I know, I know. It’s a little bit backwards. Usually the person (blog?) whose party it is gets the presents. I am going to go all sappy on you for a moment and say that the fact that you are reading this is already such an enormous gift to me. I have a slightly chaotic range of interests, and writing about all of them in the same place defies internet rules for how to get readers. If you have found even some of the topics I have written about helpful, interesting, or entertaining, I am beyond touched.
This milestone may seem small, but it represents a lot more than a year of sharing my thoughts and hobbies. There was at least a year of research into this and other topics done before I started. I also have put in untold hours learning things that are far outside of my comfort zone. So, after much delay, I am thanking you with some Thank You cards of course!
